We had the honor of designing the emblem for the 28th edition of the European Microwave Week, one of the largest and most prestigious events in the microwave industry. It’s thanks to this industry that technologies like wireless communication, radar systems, and advanced sensors are possible.
We were asked to develop the main theme and design the emblem that would define this edition. We worked together with the organizers to set the key goals, understand the audience, analyze the competitive landscape, and identify the event’s unique attributes in order to highlight its value proposition.

The purpose of the European Microwave Week is to bring the global microwave community to Europe and provide a platform for sharing ideas and establishing industrial and academic collaborations.
The event takes place in a different European country each year, and this time it was hosted in the Netherlands, a nation renowned for its innovative spirit. And it was precisely in Utrecht, with its vibrant, creative, and inspiring environment — an ideal setting for leading innovations.

The theme
We live in a world of constant evolution, where life-changing discoveries unfold at an unprecedented pace. In this context, the need to share knowledge has become more essential than ever. The EuMW recognizes this and continues its mission to unite the microwave community, harnessing the power of these waves of innovation.
That is why “Waves of Innovation” was chosen as the main theme, continuing a long tradition of inspiring annual themes that have been renewed since 1998.

With our emblem, we aimed to represent these waves, and set the tone for this
vibrant, innovative, and inspirational atmosphere that the country, the city,
and this edition in particular had to offer. We used a gradient palette combined with a lined pattern to bring this atmosphere to life over the city of Utrecht, with its iconic Dom Tower and traditional Dutch houses. It aims to feel welcoming to everyone, while especially engaging the youngest generations.
The European Microwave Week is organized by the European Microwave Association (EuMA). Special thanks to the EuMW organizing committee for trusting us with this project.
